Safar has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Your location never leaves your device except as described below, and we operate no servers that store personal data.
Safar uses your device's location solely to calculate prayer times and the qibla direction on your device. Coordinates may be sent to your device's built-in geocoding service (provided by Google or Apple as part of the operating system) to display a place name. Your location is never sent to Safar's own services or to any flight-data provider.
When you look up a flight number, that flight number (and nothing else) is sent over an encrypted connection to a relay we operate on Cloudflare Workers, which forwards it to the AeroDataBox flight-data service and returns schedule information. Responses may be cached briefly on the relay for performance; no personal information is included in these requests. Route lookups may also query the public adsbdb.com API, again with only the flight number.
Your saved flights, notification preferences, calculation-method settings, and optional API key are stored locally on your device only, and are removed when you uninstall the app.
Prayer and flight reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification content is sent to or from any server.
Safar does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
